(Okay, so admittedly I don’t know what this box has to do with staying alert, but we’re just going to go with it.)
I subscribe to a box called Nomadik, and every month they send 4-5 items of camping gear, some of which can be used for prepping. And I thought it might be fun to share what’s in the box each month. Let’s get to it!

This skin cleanser from Tecnu claims to get the oils from poison ivy, oak, and sumac off your skin. I haven’t had a chance to use it since I opened the box an hour ago. Can confirm, it feels liquidy inside.

This teeny notebook from Rite in the Rain can be written on even when it’s wet. Probably with a space pen or even cooler, a pencil. I want to emphasize, I don’t have enormous thumbs. This is a very smol notebook.

Continuing the tiny trend, this is a gomacro bar mini. I would eat it and tell you how it is, but I’m full.

My kid LOVES buffs and will be psyched to try this one out! It’s made of recycled plastic and has cooling properties. Buffs are similar to bandanas in that they have multiple uses and configurations, so if you want to have some in case of emergency, I support you.

I just realized I haven’t been relating any of these items to prepping! I wouldn’t put most of them in a bug-out bag or anything, but I do keep random Nomadik items in a bag and sometimes take them camping.
This last item might come in handy in a SHTF situation, actually. It’s a monocular, which is a cross between binoculars and a monocle. You could use it to spy on a neighboring group, or maybe some animals you were hunting. It only has a magnification of 10x, which seems a bit low to me. I guess there’s something to be said for binocular vision!
Well, there’s my Nomadik box! Sadly they don’t sponsor me, because no one knows this blog exists. One can always dream though…until next time!
